How many times have you heard, “Come, Holy Spirit!” or “We invite the Holy Spirit to fill this place”? When I first was exploring the Holy Spirit, I was confused by these expressions because I thought that we already had the Holy Spirit inside of us, so why do we need to invite him? It’s true, the Holy Spirit is already with us, but when we invite the Holy Spirit into a situation or a worship service, we are inviting Him to move in power.
